How to Join DAR
Membership in the Daughters of the American Revolution is open to any woman who can prove lineal, bloodline descent from an ancestor who served the cause of American independence between 1775 and 1783. It opens the doors of opportunity to join more than 185,000 active women in 3,000 chapters world-wide, who share a common bond in the ancestral history of the founding of the United States of America. Nowhere else can one find such a distinguished group of women with such a rich heritage and spirit.
