The Jacksonville DAR Chapter was founded in 1895, Florida’s first chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution.

DAR is a women’s service organization dedicated to promoting historic preservation, education, patriotism and honoring the patriots of the Revolutionary War.

As one of the most inclusive genealogical societies in the country, DAR boasts 185,000 members in 3,000 chapters across the United States and internationally.
