REGISTRAR

If you are unsure where to begin, our registrar will gladly assist you in navigating the application process and answer any questions you may have.  Just click on “registrar” above to send me an email.

Eligibility

Any woman who is no less than eighteen years of age and can prove lineal, bloodline descent from an ancestor who aided in achieving American independence is eligible.

Joining

We will gladly help you to complete the application process.  You will be asked to provide documentation for each statement of birth, marriage, and death.  

What else can you do?

Start asking questions and gathering information:

• Is another woman in your family a member of the DAR?
• Ask questions of your elders about your family history.
• You will need complete documentation for the first three generations (at a minimum), so be sure to find birth certificates, marriage certificates for yourself and husband if applicable, death certificates for your parents, and your grandparents.
• Come to a meeting and meet with our registrar and/or lineage chairman to get more information.
